In addition to his high-demand salon business, Harlow teaches and consults. His current Seattle workshops include The Color Guide, SHINE Class, The Ultimate Pony Tail Workshop and his Professional, Polished and Pretty styling workshops through Go Girl Academy. “I want to give people the skills and ideas they need to keep a great look going between appointments or to break out and try something new,” says Harlow. “It’s easier to maintain a salon look than you think.”

Winner of the L’Oreal Pure Vision Styling contest, launched his national career teaching color for Redken, Fifth Avenue. “Color is my passion,” says Harlow, “and to really show off the color, I have to be every bit as exceptional with the cut and finish.”

Seattle Magazine as well as local Seattle stations including KING 5, KIRO 7, KOMO 4 and KCPQ 13 have featured Harlow’s unique color talents and approach to style. On the national level, Allure, Seventeen Magazine, CNN, The Today Show and recording artists Mandy Moore and the Backstreet Boys credit Tommy-Gene’s work. His most recent work has been with Kathie Lee Gifford and working with Miss Washington, Brittney Henry.
